Just a peek (Deployment Project #197)

This isn’t a completed project, but I have completed as much as I wanted to finish before Handsome Hubby gets home, and it is a surprise Christmas gift, so I can only give you a little peek at it!!

This is a special quilt I am working on, but I can’t tell you any more about it - -- if you keep following me, I promise that I will show you the completed project and tell you more about it!!

If you are interested in the pattern for this quilt - - you can download it for free here!!!  It’s the Amy Butler Nigella quilt - - check out her other free quilt patterns on the same site - - I love them!!

Have I inspired you to go and check out her free patterns - - or even better yet, to make your own quilt?

Yes, learning to quilt is on my "to learn" list! It seems to be made out of mens shirts. I love that.

I think I saw a picture of your daughter today on a blog. Sugar Cone? Maybe she's a friend of yours. Or maybe I'm imagining it!

Yes, you have...dang it!

I've been following you for a while and thanks to you I've successfully reupholstered my first piece of furniture, a wingback setee (or however it's spelled).

Now my work day will be shot because I'll be scoping out quilt patterns.

Your blog is full of inspiration. I love how you are using your hubbies old shirts to incorporate them into a quilt christmas gift. I love the pattern you have chosen. Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to Amy's site for quite some time.
Isn't she a doll for sharing free quilt patterns?

This quilt you're working on is stunning! The fabrics you've chosen are gorgeous, and I love that you're recycling a certain somebody's shirts into it. This is going to be one special quilt indeed!

I cannot get over how Amy Butler puts such a modern spin on such an ancient craft. She's brilliant, just like her awesome fabrics!

I wonder if you'll make it to 200 projects completed before Handsome Hubby gets home in just a few short days... I have a feeling you've already done it! I'll just have to keep watching to find out. ;)
